How does the time slot system work at the London Eye?

The time slot you select is when you join the queue for the London Eye. If you have a standard entry ticket, please join the standard queue. If your ticket includes fast track entry, please join the fast-track queue. 

 

To ensure smooth operation, please note customers will not be allowed to join the queue until the booked time slot.

The London Eye welcomes everyone from all age groups.

 

Adult tickets apply to individuals aged 16 and over, while child tickets are for children aged 2 to 15. Children under 2 can visit for free but must be booked in (free of charge).

 

For guests aged 15 or under, an accompanying adult (18 or over) is required. Visitors aged 16 or 17 can attend unaccompanied but cannot be responsible for children aged 15 or under.

Please join the queue at your selected timeslot, indicated on your ticket and confirmation email. 

For standard entry, join the standard queue, and for fast track entry, please use the fast track queue. 

To ensure a smooth operation, customers cannot join the queue before their booked time slot. Thank you for your cooperation.

Queue times vary based on seasonality. Standard ticket holders can generally expect around a 45-minute wait, while fast track ticket holders typically experience a wait of about 20 minutes.

 

Please note that these times are estimates and are subject to seasonal variations. During peak periods, such as school holidays, public holidays, and weekends, it's advisable to allocate extra time for queuing.

 

For a quieter experience, we recommend opting for early morning entry or heading in later toward closing time. During busier (peak) periods like school holidays and summer months, longer wait times might occur for London Eye boarding. 

Yes. Customers can bring a pushchair or buggy with them onto one of the pods of the London Eye. It needs to be fully folded / closed before joining the boarding queue, remain closed throughout the experience including at the entrance and exit ramps, until after guests have exited the attraction. 

 

There are also left luggage facilities in the ticket hall where you can leave your buggy or pushchair for free showing your London Eye ticket. It will have to be collected by 7pm. 

A rotation on the London Eye lasts 30 minutes, offering ample time to enjoy the panoramic views.

The number of people in your pod may vary, but we'll always ensure there is enough space for an enjoyable experience with our 360-degree views. Keep in mind, each pod requires at least 2 adults.

Yes, the London Eye is fully accessible. Due to health and safety we are only permitted to allow entry to two wheelchair users per pod and eight on The London Eye at any one time. To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend booking a wheelchair slot in advance.

The London Eye is situated on the South Bank of the river Thames, opposite to Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and next to the London Eye Pier.

 

The ticket office is located inside County Hall, which is the building directly next to the London Eye:

Waterloo is the closest tube/underground station to The London Eye. Waterloo is about 5 minutes walking distance, located in zone 1 and well connected by Bakerloo line (brown), Jubilee line (grey), Northern line (black) and Waterloo and City line (turquoise). Exit the station following signs for the South Bank.

 

Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster are also within easy walking distance from the London Eye. 

 

Embankment and Charing Cross stations are close together on the north side of the River Thames. Both tube stations are a 10 - 15 minute walk to reach The lastminute.com London Eye. From the station, cross over Hungerford Bridge.
